OUR ORIGINS

At For the One Missions, we believe that every heart matters to God and every life has eternal value. Founded by Tim and Marcy Mackey, the vision began under Heavenly Holiday Ministries now known as For the One Missions. With over 30 years of missions experience, Tim and Marcy have served around the globe, passionately reaching the lost, assisting in construction projects, and serving the needy medically.

Because of their faith-driven work and dedication to the missions field, the Lord opened the doors for Tim and Marcy to be full time missionaries at Kings Castle in El Salvador. They have passed the mantle to Jason Baugh, who now serves as the Managing Director of For the One Missions. Jason’s own desire to go and reach the lost was sparked by the Mackeys’ example and mentorship.

Why the Name “For the One Missions”? As Heavenly Holiday Ministries has grown, God has continually guided our focus toward the individual and the community, reaching the “one” who has not yet heard the Gospel. The name For the One Missions reflects this renewed vision and calling, reminding us that every life matters and every act of service can make an eternal impact.

For the One Missions operates under Heavenly Holiday Ministries Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We exist to empower believers to serve others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether its construction, providing medical care, or sharing the hope of Christ, we go wherever God calls, trusting Him to guide our hands and hearts. Every project, every outreach, every encounter is driven by one goal: to show God’s love to the “one” in front of us.

WHAT WE DO

WHAT IS A MISSIONS TRIP?

For the One Missions is a short-term missions program where small teams serve alongside trusted international partners, meeting both physical and spiritual needs around the world. Our heart is to create opportunities for meaningful impact, spiritual growth, and authentic relationships through sharing God’s love in tangible ways.

Trips typically last one week, with occasional additional travel days. Costs are all-inclusive, covering airfare, in-country transportation, accommodations, meals, and related travel needs.

Each trip includes five days of hands-on ministry, one day to experience the local culture, and one day set aside for rest and worship.

HOW WE DO MISSIONS TRIPS

For the One Missions recruits, trains, equips, and sends short-term, mission-focused teams to meet critical needs identified by our leadership and global ministry partners. With over 20 years of experience, we intentionally match each team member’s skills with opportunities where they can make the greatest impact.

Our teams have served around the world through construction projects, medical outreach, education, and community care. From building churches, homes, and orphanages to providing life-saving medical care, teaching practical and spiritual life skills, and feeding those in need, we are committed to meeting people where they are.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple mission: to share the love of God and the hope found in Jesus Christ in real, life-changing ways.

HOW WE PREPARE YOU TO GO

TRAINING: Our pre-trip training, refined over the past decade, prepares team members for the unique challenges of short-term missions. Through engaging online sessions, participants build unity and confidence before departure. Training covers practical travel skills, team expectations, physical preparedness, and essential guidelines for conduct, with a strong emphasis on spiritual awareness and readiness for the environments we serve in.

EQUIPPING: Beyond sending people, we ensure every team is properly resourced. This includes funding and gathering necessary materials such as construction supplies, medical resources, food, and other essentials. We invite those who feel called to support financially, trusting God to provide for every need.

SENDING: With trained and equipped teams, we go where God leads, serving where doors are open and needs are greatest.

Most teams are co-ed and open to participants ages 16 and up. Each year, we also aim to offer at least one family-focused trip, creating opportunities for younger participants to experience missions firsthand. These trips often emphasize outreach to children, fostering meaningful connections and shared understanding across cultures.

In locations where conditions are more challenging or not suited for mixed teams, we may organize men-only teams to ensure appropriate structure and accountability.
